About Eco Carbon
Eco Carbon Sdn. Bhd. is an agricultural carbon project developer and carbon asset management company focused on developing, implementing, and managing high-integrity agricultural carbon projects. The company collaborates with farmers, plantation companies, cooperatives, research institutions, technology providers, government agencies, and independent validation and verification bodies (VVBs) to generate verified carbon credits under internationally recognised carbon standards.
As the project proponent and developer, Eco Carbon designs and manages agricultural carbon projects end to end — from project development and scientific measurement to registry administration and the commercialisation of verified carbon assets from its own projects.
Eco Carbon does not issue carbon credits. Independent validation and verification is carried out by an accredited third-party VVB, and verified carbon credits are issued by the registry (Verra). This separation of roles keeps the project credible and auditable.

Project claims are independently validated and verified by an accredited third-party validation and verification body (VVB).

Registry Administration
Register and administer the project with the carbon registry, and coordinate registry requirements throughout the crediting period.

Methodology-grade by design — the science is the moat.
Carbon quantification follows Verra VM0042 (Improved Agricultural Land Management) with the VMD0053 biogeochemical quantification module, using the DayCent model.
ecoSoil bundle is Eco Carbon’s implementation solution (comprising ecoWake + ecoConvert), incorporating BEST TM AG biostimulant technology as part of the project’s climate-smart agricultural interventions.
The ecoSoil bundle is OEM-supplied by Best Environmental Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd (BEST), a shareholder of Eco Carbon Sdn. Bhd. — a related-party relationship that Eco Carbon discloses in its project documentation. BEST has no role in measurement, sampling, data handling, or verification.
BEST TM AG is one of several enabling technologies. Technology selection is based on applicable methodologies, scientific evidence, project objectives, agronomic suitability, and environmental performance.

Our carbon project
EcoCarbon develops nature-based agricultural carbon projects in Malaysian paddy systems. We combine a low-emission rice variety with the ecoSoil bundle soil amendment as core climate-smart interventions — working alongside landowners and operating partners, and quantifying outcomes under Verra VM0042 with the VMD0053 biogeochemical module (DayCent).
The approach is designed to support both environmental and agricultural performance: reducing greenhouse-gas emissions, enhancing soil carbon, and improving long-term soil health while maintaining yields for farmers. The project is targeting Verra VCS registration in Q4 2026.

FPIC & Grievance Mechanism
Farmer participation is based on free, prior and informed consent (FPIC), with consent documentation provided in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese, supported by interpreters and witnesses. Participating farmers and stakeholders can raise concerns at any time through our grievance mechanism; all complaints are logged and handled by Eco Carbon’s Stakeholder Engagement Director, with unresolved matters escalated to the Board of Directors.

Accredited laboratory
Conducts and manages accurate testing, validation, and traceable analysis of project samples in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 to support carbon accounting and verification requirements. RFL operates a SAMM-approved mobile laboratory (Extension of Branch) in Sekinchan, near the project area, enabling rapid, traceable analysis of soil and gas samples.
